We were born in the valleys and mountains of Arica and Parinacota, in the Andean home of noble indigenous communities with Aymaran roots. 

We were looking for a dream and here we fell in love with the natural and cultural treasures that are wisely guarded by the communities. We decided to join their exemplary work to preserve the heritage for the new generations.

This is how, at a meeting of young enthusiast, the Fundación Altiplano was born in 2000. Obtaining its legal status in 2002, today the foundation is a reference point in heritage conservation in Chile and the Americas and dreams of becoming an exemplary organization in Latin America, promoting heritage conservation in communities as an alternative for sustainable development.
